WE CAN ALL PLAY A PART IN THE CO-OP THRIVING

The Co-op is committed to being a source of great food for our community and a strong supporter of our local farms and food producers. Expanding to a second location in downtown Syracuse will allow us to continue that mission, expand our reach, and impact more people as a part of the new Salt City Market. Our Member Loan Campaign will not only help make that possible, but it will also allow us to continue serving the Westcott community by maintaining and improving the original Kensington store.

The Salt City Market is a food hall and activities center being built by the Allyn Foundation on the corner of W. Onondaga St. and S. Salina St. When open, in addition to housing a grocery store (our second Syracuse Cooperative Market, opening in the Spring of 2021!), it will be filled with bustling stalls and vendors selling ready-made foods from around the world, a café, a bar, social events, and the opportunity to live and work above it.

We believe everyone should have access to the Co-op way of doing business, where we prioritize our community, our environment, and our local economy. Our Member Loan Campaign will help in growing the Co-op and seeing that our future is bright and prosperous.

“We’re excited about loaning money to the Co-op because it is an opportunity to participate in the exciting growth of one of our favorite establishments! The Co-op ensures that our children have fresh and healthy food every day. If that is not worth our hard-earned dollars then nothing is! Our community is lucky to have the Co-op and the rest of the city deserves the Co-op too. We also believe it is a sound investment both fiscally and socially.”
